Sport and remedial massage involves the use of massage, soft tissue manipulation and exercise advice to reduce physical aches and pains, whether they're caused by sport, injury, or simply the stresses of modern life.

Sports massage is the term applied to the discipline of using deep massage for anyone suffering with problem areas and for the specific benefit of all sports and exercise participants. It covers the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of the body’s soft tissue structures. Sports massage can benefit anyone suffering from a niggling injury that may be preventing them from training or enjoying every day activities. It increases range of movement, improves flexibility and relieves muscle soreness pre and post event.

Remedial massage is the massage and manipulation of the soft tissues of the body such as muscles, ligaments and tendons. It is most beneficial at relieving constant tired aching muscles, such as those caused by chronic poor posture, work related stresses and strains, and at improving and maintaining overall body condition and muscle tone. Various massage movements are used to promote circulation, increase blood supply and break down fibrous areas which may have formed in muscle, thereby alleviating pain and discomfort and promoting the body's ability to heal.

The most common benefits of sports and remedial massage include:

- Increased range of movement, improved flexibility and relief from muscle soreness
- Reduction in stress and tension from too much computer work, repetitive movements and general
muscle overuse
- The relief of stiff, aching muscles, (massage is proven to be five times more effective at combating fatigue than resting)
- The stretching and broadening of muscles for maximum performance
- The breaking down of scar tissue, improving range of movement and flexibility
- Improvements in recovery time pre and post event, as well as in rehabilitation
- Prevention of further injuries
- Stimulation of circulation and lymphatic drainage
- Improved performance (keeping muscles at their optimum condition)
